An oximetry is a test of the oxygen level in the blood. Many people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) have normal blood oxygen levels during the day, but the level drops to unhealthy levels during the night. An overnight pulse oximeter is a small device that slips around the finger and records blood oxygen levels during the night.
